Flashbacks in Year 6!

We have decided in Year 6 that a four day week is the way forward! It has flown by and the children have produced some wonderful work and are all working towards being the best version of themselves. We have been looking at flashbacks in English this week, using the film ‘Up’ as our starting point. We have continued our statistics topic in maths by looking at Pie charts as a way of representing data. Our plans are all set in place for our Viking and Anglo Saxon day next week and our final recipes are ready…I must say I am glad the tuna and cabbage flat bread didn’t make the cut. If you can, please remember to dress up on Tuesday and bring a blanket if you have one as we will be outside if possible for the day!

Next week Year 6 will also be taking part in Bikeability on Monday. All bikes and helmets need to be in school ready to use on Monday morning and children will need to be in their PE kits for the day. The weather forecast isn’t looking too promising at the moment, so all children will need a warm, water proof coat with them and a pair of gloves. If your child owns a pair of water proof trousers, this maybe a good idea, however, not necessary.

Have a lovely long weekend with your families and I shall see you all on Monday.
