Willow class are finding out about Queen Elizabeth and have enjoyed sharing different stories about her. Our favourite story this week was called The Birthday Crown. We know that the queen is having a very special celebration this year and thought that she might need a new crown for the occasion.
The children thought hard about the things they know that the queen likes and tried to add them into their designs. They remembered that she often wears pearls because we have seen her wearing them in portraits, and they know she loves corgis and horses so many have included horse or dog hair in their designs.
They were very concerned that she might get thirsty or hungry or they have added secrete pockets for chocolate and camel sacks for her favourite drink.
We have sent our designs to Queen Elizabeth and hope she will find one that she might like to wear.
