Children in Elder and Pine classes joined Fr. Andrew in church this Thursday, to celebrate Ascension Day Mass. It was such a joy to be able to attend Mass together again on this special day. The children listened with great interest to Fr. Andrew as he shared a piece of artwork depicting our Lord’s ascension into Heaven and discussed the symbolism within the painting. Pupils from both classes responded thoughtfully to the questions and ideas raised by Father. We are now looking forward to the feast of Pentecost, which falls ten days after Ascension Thursday, and although it concludes the Easter season, it also celebrates the beginning of the Church.
