It was very special to have the whole school together once again, for our Ash Wednesday Mass today, which marked the start of the season of Lent.
‘Lent’ means ‘Spring’ or ‘Lengthening.’ Lent is that time of year when the days lengthen, and hopefully a time when the light of faith also grows stronger for us. The season begins on Ash Wednesday and culminates in the celebration of the Lord’s death and resurrection in Holy Week. Lent is that special time for renewing our Faith. It is a time to turn back to God and to the things that are really important.
