Class 2 - Spring Term

Posted: 17 April 2018

The children have had a fantastic half term. In English we have been writing our very own Little Red Riding Hood stories using our own characters. Over the past week, class 2 have had a party. We played games, sang songs and ate lots of tasty fruit. The children then had to sequence the events and use time conjunctions to write a recount.

In maths, the children have been doing great work adding, subtracting and learning number bonds to 20. This week we have seen some wonderful halving of shapes and quantities using cubes, using the strategy ‘one for me, one for you’.
As a whole school, we have been doing lots of work to raise money for the Aid to the Church in Need charity. Class 2 have taken part in a sponsored walk – managing to walk an impressive 11 times around our track in just 30 minutes.
