Friend or Foe
11 September 2019
We have started our class novel - Friend or Foe by Michael Morpurgo. This text is linked to this terms topic of WWI & II ..... 'Evacuated from London, David and Tucky feel like the war is a long way away from their new life in the countryside. Then one night the skyline of the moor is lit up with gun flashes, and the distant crump of bombing miles away brings the war back to them and shatters their new-found peace.'

The end of a great year in Yr5
16 July 2019
It has been a pleasure teaching Yr5 this year and I am really going to miss them. C7 have written a few of their favourite memories from our time together..... "This year has been really busy and it feels like it has gone super quickly. The best parts of this year for me is doing the maths kickstarters with Miss Kerrigan and Bikeability. I found Bikeability really good because I started off not knowing how to ride a bike and ended up riding confidently! For next years Yr5 I would totally recommend Mrs Bridgeman as she is fun and nice. This year was amazing!" Lydia "Class 7 has to be the best class in the whole school because Blu, the schools therapy dog has been based with us. Another great thing about this class is the number of school trips we have been on. The greatest thing about this class is Mrs Bridgeman!" Kristy "My best parts of Yr5 are being able to go swimming and doing bikeability. I loved the trip to the Science festival at UCLAN too." Sanaa "This year class 7 have had some great times. Together we made a great team. We've been on amazing school trips to UCLAN and Liverpool Cathedral, where everyone had a great time and learnt lots of new things." Sophie

C7 visited Corpus Christi for the final time yesterday to paint their mythical creatures. They children have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and have produced some fantastic creatures. We have left them with Mrs Lord to be varnished, so that they are ready to take home next week. We can't wait to see the finished pieces!
Year 6 Production!
09 July 2019
"On Monday 8th July, the whole school watched Year 6's wonderful production of Cinderella er. I had so many favourite characters; the fairies, Fairy nasty boots and her partner, Cinderella and many more, but my all time favourite was the Fairy Godmother because she was so funny!" Catherine C7. "Yesterday, Class 8 put on their fantastic end of year play! It was really funny and some of the boys were dressed up as girls! The Fairy Godmother was really cool, all of the songs were amazing and the costumes were really well thought out. It was just really great!" Sophie C7

Class 7 are thoroughly enjoying looking at the Jabberwocky poem by Lewis Carroll in English! It certainly gets the imagination working! This poem has linked very nicely with our work on mythical creatures.
