Lucky Year 6! Everyone had a goodnight sleep and a hearty breakfast, some even had four shredded wheat ready for the day! The sun is shining ready for them as today the different groups will be enjoying archery, canoeing, tree climbing, bouldering and then a night walk this evening. Wednesday already! The night walk was enjoyed by everyone and all slept well again ready for another busy day of team challenges and 'The Pole!'. This evening sees a campfire activity as long as the rain stays away. Class 6 have been learning about the French artist, Paul Cezanne. They have learnt about the artist himself and studied a range of his paintings. The children then used his work as the inspiration for their own still life drawings. Their sketches were later enhanced using oil pastels and paint. Great work, Class 6!

Preparing the way!
05 December 2018
What a busy couple of days we have had! We had our Key Stage Two Advent service on Monday evening which was a great way to start the season of Advent. All children in Key Stage Two took part to reflect on the importance of making way for God in our hearts as we prepare for the birth of Jesus. Year Six then joined our cluster of schools last night at Saint Gregory's Church to come together as a local community and think about the importance of joining together to spread peace, love, joy and hope.

Year of the Eucharist
28 November 2018
The Year of the Eucharist. This year the Bishops of England and Wales have announced a Year of the Eucharist for 2018, urging Catholics to grow in what St John Paul II called “Eucharistic amazement”. The Eucharistic sacrifice is the source and the summit of the whole of Christian life. Devotion to the Eucharist is an importantway of deepening our love of Christ. There will many opportunities for us to come together in 'Eucharistic amazement' and make time to become very close to Jesus. On Monday we joined together as a school community for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. We also had the opportunity in each class to ask questions to members of our Parish about the importance of the Eucharist to them. This is the start of our special year where we will renew our relationship with the Eucharist. If you would like to join us on our journey or help in any way then please see Mr Parkinson.
