Building and feelings

This week we have spent time thinking about our own feelings and those of others. We have explored what makes us happy and sad as well as what we may be frightened or excited of. We have read the story the colour monster and have thought about what colour of colour monster we would like to be. Whilst looking at the colour monsters we have been trying to name and match colours including thinking about light and dark shades.

In our hall PE session this week EVERYONE  was able to get themselves changed and changed back again independently into their kit. For the odd few that still haven’t got their PE kit in school please bring it asap as as soon as we start using larger equipment your child will not be suitably dressed to be safe. The children have loved playing movement games, working hard to develop their muscles and build stamina. It is vitally important for children to have 90 minutes a day of exercise.

We have continued exploring building method learning how we can build enclosures and build walls so strong we can pick them up without them falling apart. The children have all embraced this creating some amazing structures including rockets, cars, the church, boats and animal homes.
