Cherry class have been exploring

As usual, Cherry class have been very busy this week! Our learning has taken on an exploration role, starting with our History lesson – The children imagined that they were historical explorers and they stumbled across the ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu! The children explored the site, gathering as much information as they could about the site and the civilisation that once inhabited it. I can’t wait to read their explorer reports next week!

Exploration continued in the Forest School area, with Mrs Clack, building shelters, using palm drills to create holes for the bugs in the bug houses, weaving, lighting the campfire and most importantly, making smores!!!!!

In RE this week, we have have been exploring the Parable of the Lost Sheep – understanding the important of forgiveness, especially in this time of Lent.

Thank you to our Collective Worship group this week, who explored the subject of Wisdom and shared this through the words of the Gospel with Hazel and Cherry class.
