Class 4

Dear Parents/Carers,

Hello and welcome to Class 4.  My name is Mrs Mallett and I will be your child's class teacher this year.  I am looking forward to getting to know your children and to help them learn and develop.

In our class, Mrs Alexander helps support the children with their learning and on Fridays Class 4 will be taught by Mrs Flett.

P.E in the Autumn term will be on Thursday afternoons.  P.E kits should be left in school during term time.  Please could you make sure that if your child has their ears pierced, they remove earrings on P.E days and also long hair should be tied up.

Please ensure all school uniform is clearly labelled.

English homework is sent home on Wednesdays and Mathematics homework on Fridays.  If your child finds any homework particularly difficult, please annotate on the homework.  Please return to school when completed.

Children should try to read their reading books most days and your support with this is hugely important.  Please discuss the characters, events and any new vocabulary to further develop your child’s comprehension skills and when the book is completed, comment and sign their reading diary.  The children are encouraged to become more independent in Class 4 and change their own reading books.

I hope this information will be useful to you at home in helping with your child's learning and if you have any queries or concerns, please see me after school.

Many thanks, Mrs D Mallett
