Coding

After a relaxing half term, Cherry class have returned to school, refreshed and ready to get stuck into their final half term in Year 5.

On Tuesday, twenty of our class visited the hospital as volunteers for medical examinations, carried out by medical students. Mr Boardman accompanied them and commented on their great behaviour and attitudes.

On Wednesday morning, five children from Cherry class, attended a Prayer Leader workshop, where they learnt how to lead and guide others in preparing and delivering Prayer and Liturgy across the school. In the afternoon, they put what they had learnt to good practice, preparing a Prayer and Liturgy that they will share with KS2 on Monday afternoon.

On Thursday afternoon, we started our coding topic in Computing – learning how to select a character, background and create a maze. I am looking forward to seeing their coded maze games develop over the next coming weeks.
