Curriculum Intent

Saint Clare’s Catholic Primary School Curriculum Intent Statement

Saint Clare’s is a Christ-centred family where everyone is valued and respected. We learn and grow, whilst strengthening our relationship with God and one another. Together in His love, we can achieve our full potential.

Play, learn and grow together with Christ

Intent

Our curriculum is intended to meet the needs of all children at Saint Clare’s and reflect a range of cultures and traditions to further the children’s skills, knowledge and understanding. We will provide a Catholic setting in which all children can grow in understanding, acquiring valuable skills, attitudes and values whilst fostering a growth of commitment to the love and service of Christ.

At Saint Clare’s we will ensure that your children are happy, stimulated and challenged so that they can make good progress across the curriculum and achieve the highest standards possible. All staff in school have high expectations and plan a curriculum that is interesting, relevant, extends your children’s understanding of the subject and ensures high quality work.

As your children progress through our school, they will develop a positive attitude to achieve well in terms of their learning and behaviour, focused on practicing and finding alternative ways to achieve their goals.  They will be encouraged to be independent learners who can also work cooperatively with others.
