This week we have been reading the poem ‘Duck’s Ditty’ by Kenneth Grahame. The children are becoming more confident using dictionaries to find definitions of new vocabulary, which helped them understand the poem better. They went on to write some interesting animal poems based on The Ugly Duckling. On Wednesday, the children were able to enjoy a taster rugby session with P.N.E, learning how to hold a rugby ball with two hands, in a ‘W’ hold and also how to make a try. There has been some super Maths work this week, with children using arrays and repeated addition as jottings to support multiplication calculations and we have been grouping to solve division calculations. Have a great weekend in the sunshine.
