‘Education is the most powerful weapon that we can use to change the world’ – Year 6

Another busy week for Year 6 this week. They have been writing biographies, developing their place value knowledge, continuing work on evolution and inheritance as well as using the instruments in music and working on their French accents! It is so great to see the children working with their reception buddies who are getting more confident and really becoming part of our school family. Election fever took over on Monday across school. We were so proud of how all the children conducted themselves, presented their speeches and answered questions with confidence and maturity. The final results are as follows:

Head Girl – Diya
Head Boy – Harvey

House Captains – Nadia, Oliver, Ben, Lois

Eco Captains – Mathilda, Ethan

We also had out first Hockey match this week and we are pleased to say we won 2 matches and drew the third. Well done to the team

Alex, Anya, Ben, Elias, Oliver, Harvey, Mathilda, Faith

There will be many other opportunities throughout the year for all of the children to take on extra responsibilities and find ways to share the great skills and talents that they have.

Have a lovely weekend with your families.
