Elder

Welcome to the new school year! My name is Mrs Clack and I am looking forward to teaching your children in Elder class this year. We are also lucky to have Mrs Brennan working in our class this year too.

The class have PE on Tuesday afternoons so please send your child into school wearing their PE on that day. On this day please could children with pierced ears remove their earrings, for safety reasons.

Ideally, the children should read daily (sometimes independently and sometimes with an adult to enable discussions about the text) for about thirty minutes. When possible, please ask your children questions which involve more of an explanation. Inside their homework diaries are some examples of questions that you could ask your children.

The children will have weekly spelling and times tables to learn at home. Spelling and times tables tests will take place on a Friday. Homework will be sent home on a Friday and should be returned by the following Thursday.

We thank you for your invaluable support at home and look forward to a positive and successful year with your children. If you have any further questions please just ask.
