How lovely to see everyone after the half term holidays. We hope you had fun and had a good rest as we know school is so busy!
This week we have been learning all about pets. We have talked about pets and how to take care of them. We have learnt all about what pet’s need and we even made a Vet’s Surgery in our classroom. We had a visit from Blu the dog our school pet and learnt how we need to take care of him. We even had a stroke! Blu was such a good dog!
We have also been learning how to form all our numbers correctly and learning all about rhyme. We found this a bit tricky so if you can help your child to practise a silly rhyming string that would be great. A rhyming string is when one person says a word like ‘bat’ and the next person has to say a word that rhymes with bat such as ‘hat’. Each person takes it in turn until you run out of words it can be silly words too like ‘lat’.
Thank you to those that attended the reading meeting. If you were unable to attend the powerpoint is on our class page for your to read. I have also put a sound book and green keyring in your child’s bag. They are for you to keep at home and practise with your child.
Many thanks,
Miss Scott and the Rowan Class Team
