Hello and welcome to Hazel Class. My name is Mr Cummings and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to finding out all about your children and starting our exciting learning adventure.
In addition to myself, your child will be supported by Mrs Walsh in the mornings and Mrs Rossall in the afternoons. Mrs Noonan will teach the children every Tuesday afternoon.
English and Maths homework will be sent home on Mondays and should be returned on Thursdays. If your child finds any homework particularly difficult, please annotate the homework.
Your child will receive reading books each week which I hope you will share with your child. Please encourage your child to read the book and discuss their understanding. Please then sign the book and comment on their progress or discussions you have shared. At present, two reading books will be given on a Monday and these books will be changed on a Thursday. This is to allow all books to be quarantined. Please also try to read a range of other books if your child has completed any school reading books.
P.E sessions for Class 3 take place on Thursdays. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed in their PE kit on this day. In order to ensure the safety of your child during these sessions please ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings are removed.
If your child requires an inhaler please send it into class labelled with your child’s name and the dosage required.
If you require any more information or wish to discuss any thing further please don’t hesitate to ask me.
