Library Visit

We have had lots of fun starting our new ‘Minibeasts’ topic. We have created a minibeast laboratory in our class, we have read a really funny book called ‘Sam’s Sandwich’, we made our own giant sandwich and added our own minibeasts, we played in our minibeast shops to learn about how to use 1ps and 2ps and we also had time to squeeze in a visit to the library! We walked all the way to the library and enjoyed looking at the different books and learning all about how we can join the library for free with our family.

It is lovely to be back and apologies again for having to reschedule our parent meeting from last week. Thank you to all family members that could attend and if you were unable to attend the powerpoint has been added to this page. The main items to note are that this term we are really focusing on maths and preparing the children for their move to year one next September. In preparation for year one I have set the children weekly maths homework. The homework is in your child’s bag. Each week please complete the sheet with your child, write their name on it and return it to school on Thursday. We will mark it and put it in their work folder at school. If you need any support with the homework please let me know.

Just a reminder that next week the children will attend the ‘Creepy Crawly Roadshow’ at school and we would like the £5 ticket price to be paid on Parentpay as soon as possible please.

Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend!

Many thanks for your continued support.
