‘Once you understand and appreciate other cultural backgrounds, then you connect with them more.’ – Year 6

This week in Year 6 we have continued our work on North America. We were able to connect with Mrs Clack’s family who live in Chicago, to ask them questions all about their life, focussing on the similarities and differences to our own. What a great opportunity – thank you!

We have also spent time this week thinking about people around the world who are not able to have a Faith because of where they live and what they believe. We sent messages of hope and prayers to children in Syria who have had to leave their family, homes and school. It made us appreciate just how lucky we are.

We have continued our work on classic fiction, with a focus on Mary Poppins and have been investigating area in maths. What a busy week and it only gets busier as we lead into advent this Sunday.

Have a good weekend with your families and we will see you all on Monday.
