It has been another busy week in Year 6. We started by celebrating Safer Internet Day, where we explored this years theme ‘All fun and games. Exploring respect and relationships online.’
On Tuesday we really enjoyed our visit to a local mosque, Masjid-e-Salaam. Guided by the Imam, we explored this special place of worship and furthered our knowledge of the Islamic faith. All the children listened well and participated with great enthusiasm. Also, we have enjoyed listening to excellent presentations from children at St.Clare’s who wanted to share their knowledge of Islam. We would like to say a special thank you to Anya’s dad who came into school, spoke about his faith and helped further our understanding.
On Tuesday (2.2.22) all the children were presented with the Two Maths Challenge from Mr Parkinson. We hope everyone will rise to the challenge. Please can entries be handed in by Friday 25th February.
As you know we are all very excited about our visit to Borwick Hall on Monday. We are looking forward to seeing Year 6 arrive in the hall (via the playground) on Monday morning between 8.45 and 9. Please can we ask that all children are brought to school by an adult to ensure all information and possessions are handed over. Further information regarding arrangements for the visit can be found on the App and there is a note in the children’s Reading Diary. Please keep an eye on the website for pictures of our adventures!
