Our Five Senses

This week we used our five senses in Forest School – observing blackbirds break branches from an ash tree to make a nest, tasting s’mores on our fire, smelling wild garlic, listening to the various sounds around us and touching a variety of flora and fauna we came across during our time outside. The children were also given a range of materials to investigate the best way to make a shelter. They had to decide how they would cover the sides, floor and make a roof and what tools they needed to make their shelter stay up.
