Our Week in Beech Class

We are continuing to read more chapters of The Wind in the Willows, discussing new vocabulary and comparing and contrasting the book with the video version of the story.  The children REALLY enjoyed the video version!  In Maths, we have been learning how to solve missing number calculations by using the inverse.  The children have also carried out investigations to see whether their answer will be odd or even when adding two even numbers, two odd numbers and an even and an odd number.  Why not ask them to show you what they discovered? Our plants are growing very well with our recent warm weather and the children have been able to measure how much they have grown.  We are learning how to use a small handsaw safely to cut our axles to size and how to attach the axle and wheels to our moon buggies.  In RE we are discussing the Ten Commandments and even though they were written thousands of years ago, they are still relevant today.

Have a lovely and restful weekend.  Mrs Clack and Mrs Mallett
