This week we had a lovely picnic. For our rainy day picnic we made our own sandwiches and packed our own lunches to promote our independence skills. We also walked all the way to our picnic spot in Father Andrew’s garden carrying our water bottles the whole way. We had lunch in the Parish hall and then had great fun playing games out on Father Andrew’s garden!
We have also been learning all about what pets need and how we look after them. We created our Veterinary Surgery in class and a grooming shop to help us practise counting accurately and to improve our communication skills.
I have put a word keyring in your child’s bag. These words can not be sounded out and just need to be memorised in order to read them. Please help your child to read these words onsight and we will send new keyrings home throughout the year.
Have a wonderful half term break!
Many thanks,
Miss Scott and the EYFS team.
