Rowan

Hello and welcome to Rowan Class. My name is Miss Scott and I will be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to finding out all about your children and starting our exciting learning adventure.

In addition to myself, your child will be supported by Mrs Donaldson, Mr Boardman and Miss Lowe. Mrs Thorpe will teach your child on Fridays.

Your child will be set a variety of different homework tasks throughout the term. The homework will be accompanied by a letter explaining the task and when it needs to be completed by.

Your child will receive reading books each week which I hope you will share with your child. Please encourage your child to read the book and discuss their understanding. Please then sign the book and comment on their progress or discussions you have shared. Your child’s reading book will be changed every Monday and Thursday.

P.E sessions for Class 1 take place on Fridays. Please send your child’s P.E. kit in at the start of each half term. In order to ensure the safety of your child during these sessions please ensure that long hair is tied back and earrings are removed.

If your child requires an inhaler please send it into class labelled with your child’s name and the dosage required.

If you require any more information or wish to discuss any thing further please don’t hesitate to ask me.
