Safer Internet Day and a trip to the Observatory

We have had lots of fun this week in Beech Class!  We began our week with a trip to Alston Observatory linked to our Science topic of Space.  The children really enjoyed looking at the telescopes and we are sure everybody’s favourite part was the planetarium.  A huge thank you to the observatory for having us.
On Tuesday we celebrated Safer Internet Day.  This year was all about change online.  The children took part in an assembly and did activities in class.
On Thursday we enjoyed learning new cricket skills with a coach who came into school.

We also had a visit from Father Stephen to remind us that Lent begins next week on Ash Wednesday 14th February, with masses at 9.30am and 7pm.

We hope you all have a lovely restful break.
