Solving mysteries and learning about Islam

We have had such an interesting week this week. We had a teddy bear’s picnic and a letter from Goldilocks apologising for her bad behaviour. She left us a map which we followed and we found a present! So we have been busy making maps, thank you letters and presents of our own for Goldilocks. We have also continued to learn about the numbers from 10-20 which has been tricky. If you can help your child practise writing those numbers at home it will really help.

We have also learnt all about Islam. We have learnt how Muslim people say their prayers and where they go to worship. We made our own prayer mats and drew some fantastic pictures of Mosques. Medina’s daddy also came in to school to talk to us all about his life as a Muslim and we learnt so much.

Thank you to those that were able to attend the maths workshop I hope you found it useful. If you were unable to attend I will put the powerpoint on the class page for you to read and I have sent the resources home in your child’s bag.

Have a wonderful weekend.
