This week, the children in Cherry class had the opportunity to design, prepare and devour a South American wrap. Over the last couple of weeks, the children have been researching meals that originated in South America, along with produce that they grow and produce.
During their preparation, the children used a number of different cutting techniques, as well grating, shredding and washing salad items, to ensure that they were ready to eat.
I was so pleased that the children stepped out of their comfort zone and tried new ingredients, some even tried some chili!!!
The children had a great morning, especially enjoying the eating part!!!!
Our Jubilee celebrations can not go without being mentioned! What a day! I was so proud of all the children – they preformed ‘This is me’ in sign language brilliantly! Followed by a Jubilee lunch and a concert this afternoon. We have had a great day.
