Cherry class have been learning all about Joaquin Torres Garcia, who was famous for using symbols in his artwork. The children have designed their own symbols based on their own likes, hobbies and personalities.
His artwork used either earthy colours or bold Mondrian inspired block colour. The children decided if they wanted to use chalk or oil pastels to create either of these effects.
