Talk Homework

Talk Homework

At St. Clare’s we recognise the importance of speaking and listening skills therefore we set talking homework for you and your family to complete with your child. Please discuss these talking points and complete the activities with your child. You don’t need to return this homework to school.

Over the next few days we will be taking part in Holy week – during this time, we will be focusing on learning about Bishop Michael, ready to share a short presentation about him during Wednesday’s assembly. Can you find any facts about Bishop Michael? What does he do? What is his role within the church?

We have also been gathering ideas for designing a new prayer area in school, can you create your own prayer area/quiet space at home? Maybe enjoy a peaceful moment in your new quiet space.

This week, we have been learning about time. Can you tell the time to o’clock and half past? Can you challenge your child to tell the time during different parts of the day? What time is lunch time? What time do you go to bed?

We have been learning to use maps and directions. Today we drew our own map, can you draw a map of your house/garden? Remember to label it and use a key.
