We started off the week with sports day and it was great to see all the children taking part and supporting their peers and younger children in school. Look out for a video next week to celebrate the day! We have also had Mass this week, as well as completing our science experiments and continuing our work on uniqueness and the changes that happen as we grow up. This afternoon we are off to the pool to work on water safety and lifesaving skills. If you ordered a Borwick Hall DVD the children will bring them home this evening, I hope you all have a lovely weekend with your families. I have added a few reminders below for the next couple of weeks. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to be in touch.

Summer Production ‘Peter Pan’
We have had to take the decision to film the summer production this year, as under current guidance we wouldn’t be able to safely have our families in the hall to watch. We know that this will be disappointing for you, as it is for us. We plan to film the production and have it ready to email to you, to watch with your children, after the Leavers Meal on Monday 12th July. Take a look at the prop production line pictures below!
Year 6 Leavers Meal – Monday 12th July
We would like to say a big thank you to Marino’s for being so accommodating and enabling our meal to still take place. We will now have a new time slot between 4:15pm and 5:30pm so that it is just our class bubble in the restaurant. Children will have an early lunch on this day and can be picked up at school from 2:00pm, to enable them to get ready and then meet us at Marino’s ready for tea. We ask that you drop the children off at 4:15pm and not come into the restaurant.
Year 6 Mass and Assembly – Wednesday 14th July – 1:30pm
Due to the size of the Church, at this moment, Mass and Assembly will be able to go ahead for our class bubble. Each family will be able to have 2 people join us in Church. Families will need to sit together, socially distanced and masks will need to be worn. We will also live stream the Mass/Assembly so that the rest of the school will be able to join us as well as families at home.
Final Day – Thursday 15th July
On the last day of term Year 6 will finish early at 1pm so that they can have a guard of honour on the playground and leave to the traditional ‘Reach for the stars’. You are welcome to join us outside for this at about 12:55pm, but again can we please ask that you limit it to two people per family. If you would like to take younger siblings then you may do so, as the rest of the school will finish at 1:30pm.
As we venture into the last few weeks, there will be lots of opportunities for the children to reflect on their life here but also to look forward to their new high school. Please keep in touch with me if there is anything you need to discuss or need support with.
