‘Together we pledge our commitment to raising awareness about the stewardship of creation’ – Year 6

Although our week has only been four days long, we have still managed to fit a lot in! We have all been thinking about the importance of remembrance this week and have spent time looking at the sacrifices that so many have made for us. We have spent time reflecting and have written poems sharing our thoughts and feelings. In maths we have started investigating shape and will move on to looking at angles next week – we have some some great investigations this week…well done!

We have also spent time reflecting on the work that is taking place in Glasgow as part of COP26. We have written letters to send to world leaders urging them to make decisions that will make a difference for our future. Take a look at the snippet below which will give you a flavour of the passion shown by the children. We will edit and write them up next week ready to send off to leaders all over the world!

Finally Year 6 have been great ambassadors for school again today as they have shown around visitors to school with great enthusiasm and confidence.

Have a great weekend with your families and we will see you on Monday morning.
