What another busy week in Year 6! We have continued to explore our curriculum and embrace new learning. Multiplication has been our focus in maths this week and we have started thinking about formal letters in English in preparation for writing invitations ready for our 50th birthday celebrations. In RE we have been looking at the ‘Our Father’ and really delved into its meaning to help us understand the importance of prayer. We were so proud of all the children on Wednesday at our open evening. They made great tour guides speaking passionately about their school, sharing their experiences and answering questions from new families. Today we have spent the day at Corpus Christi Catholic High School and experienced what it is like to be a High School pupil. We carried out an experiment in science, created samba music in the music department, took on the role of coordinate detectives in maths and finally learnt a new language – German! All of the children were so well behaved and a credit to our school.
In this blog you can also see a couple of pictures of our classroom displays with some of the work that the children have been doing. We hope you all have a great weekend with your families and we will see you bright and early on Monday morning.
P.s. The children have brought home invitations this week for our Bingo event that we are organising for the week before half term. Please contact the office if you would like to come!
