‘We are better together than we are alone’ – Year 6

What a wonderful day we have had in Year 6 today! All of the children were a credit to school as they organised and held their first community event of the year. We had hosts, bingo callers, comedians, waiters and even rock/paper/scissor demonstrators! We have had nothing but positive comments from those who attended and the children were so pleased that they were able to make a difference to others. We have continued the day thinking about our community as we have been busy preparing pieces of artwork to be part of our outdoor display after hall term. Take a look at the sneak preview below!

Our first half term is now coming to an end…where has the time gone? All of the children have settled well into Year 6 and are working hard to be the best they can be.  We hope that you all have a safe and restful half term and look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 2nd November.

  • Reports will also come home on Friday with a letter explaining how you can book an appointment with myself or Mr Hudson after half term.
  • Just a reminder that the deadline to apply to high school is 31st October 2021 via the Lancashire County Council website.  Some schools also require you to complete an additional Faith form, copies of which you can get from the school you are applying to.  If anybody has any questions about the process, please do get in touch and I will help in any way that I can.
