This week our traditional tale has been ‘Cinderella’. We have been using our listening skills setting the story with our body percussion where we focused on doing actions for various words throughout the story. We have been thinking about what might happen next and making our own tweaks to some parts. Together we thought about how Cinderella was feeling and the behaviour of other characters. We have been practising some of the jobs she might have been doing like matching and pegging socks, baking cakes and what her daily routine might be. We looked at 3D shapes building own own role play castle and used 2D shapes to create castle pictures. We spent time looking at images of different castles and the parts that make them.
We had a great time planning our own Royal ball thinking about the banquet food and practising our ballroom dancing. Friday saw our plans come to life with lots of super royal people attending. What could be a better way to end the week than seeing just who’s foot would fit in the glass slipper!
