Welcome back Cherry Class! What a great start to the New Year! The children have come back in to school filled with enthusiasm to learn, along with lots of tales from their Christmas break.
It was lovely to see so many parents on Wednesday evening zoom meeting and to share what we have planned over this busy term. The children have certainly been busy this week, starting our playscript topic in English – based around the short PIXAR film, Piper – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAIRXIckfMA.
We have spent a lot of time this week learning about the Epiphany, looking at the journey the kings took, the gifts they brought and what they found in the stable when they arrived. We have been lucky enough to visit the life size crib, in the side chapel at church, to continue to develop our understanding of this special feast day. You will find some work we have completed for HRSE and our RE display below.
We have finally been able to continue with our Gymnastics topic in PE today! We returned to balances, recapping over some simpler counter balances before moving on to trickier balances. I was so impressed with the team work and communication that was taking place in order to achieve some fantastic outcomes.
