What have we been up to this week?

There is never a dull moment at St. Clare’s – every day is jam packed full of learning!

This week, we have finished writing our WWI poems, using descriptive figurative language. These poems have been typed up and we are in the process of putting together a class book. More updates about how you can get your hands on this keep sake to follow shortly!

In History this week, we have been learning all about life in the trenches, during WWI. The children have put themselves in the boots of a soldier, living and fighting on the battlefields in France. They have written emotional and heart felt letters home to their families, describing the living conditions and what life was like for them so far away from their loved ones.

In Art, the children have been learning all about the art work of Georgia O’Keeffe. They have started to recreate their own art work using similar techniques.

Enjoy taking a look at some of our work!
