What an exciting end to our week. The children prepared for their party all week by making bunting, flags, jelly, place mats and sandwiches. It was very cold so we moved the party inside and decorated the classroom with our bunting and covered our tables in red, white and blue. We began the celebrations by watching Queen Elizabeth’s coronation and waving our flags as the golden carriage traveled around London. We then played party games and really enjoyed pin the tail on the donkey. The children decided that they were hungry so eagerly sat down for their party food, happily eating their sandwiches and jelly and ice cream. They all tried a selection of sweets from the 1950’s . We ended our day by playing squeak piggy squeak.
