Year 6 – A week of inference across the curriculum!

What another busy week! I can never believe that we can fit more into each week…but somehow we manage to. We have continued to explore our topics and have been focussing on our questioning and inference skills across all areas of the curriculum. Our new genre of writing is crime fiction so we have been using images to infer information about characters and settings. We then transferred these skills to our history topic when looking at Viking clothing and artefacts.

In art we have started to look at the work of Henri Rousseau and over the next few weeks we will be using different media to create collages, using his work as our inspiration.

All of the children will bring home their interim reports tomorrow evening and their will be a chance to discuss them at parents evening in school next week. If you haven’t done so already please book a slot on either Wednesday or Thursday evening next week. (There will be no booster session next week)

Have a great weekend with your families and we will see you for another busy week next week!
