Year 6 – Becoming independent!

We started our week on Tuesday with Prayer and Liturgy planned by Conor, Daniel and Alessio. They reflected on the life of Queen Elizabeth and celebrated all that she has done for people around the world. All the children in class have planned prayer and liturgy for this half term which they will share with Year 6 as well with children in Beech class. I have been really impressed with how they are choosing scripture appropriate for their theme and planning their liturgy independently.

In maths we have continued our work exploring place value and in literacy we have started reading a range of biographies before we move on to writing our own next week.

Thank you so much again for all of you that joined us last week for the meet the teacher evening. I have put all the information on our class page if you needed to check any details or missed out on the meeting. If you have any questions do not hesitate to be in touch.

Have a lovely weekend with your families and I will see you all on Monday morning.
