Year 6 Visit the Synagogue

Last Thursday, Year 6 visited a Jewish synagogue in Lytham St Anne’s and their local Rabbi gave us helpful information about their place of worship and how they practice their faith. The Jewish religion is related to Islam and Christianity, the Jews have a connection to when the 2 tablets of the commandments given by God on Mount Sinai like we do, but instead they have precisely 613, calling it the ten of commandments.

The local rabbi kindly showed us inside of their arch, holding the ancient Torah scroll, including the 2 tablets and the original shards destroyed by Moses’ anger.

We learnt lots of information about this religion and we thank the rabbi for this opportunity.
