‘Working hard is important but there is something that matters even more – believing in yourself’ – Year 6

This week in Year 6 we have been thinking about how we can use maths in our everyday lives. Each day we have looked at a different person in society and how important maths is for their job. Today was the turn of Markus Persson who is a Swedish video game programmer and designer. He is most well know for creating Minecraft, which has become the best selling hame of all time! I wonder if anyone in class will use their mathematical skills in the future to rival some of the important people we have been looking at this week?

In English we have spent time performing our Remembrance poetry and reflecting on the great sacrifice that so many have made for us during time of conflict. We have been busy in computing as well this week, blogging about Remembrance Day as well as working on our presentations all about our school.

Finally congratulations to the football team last night who won two and drew one match. We were also pleased to hear how well they supported each other both on and off the pitch. Well done!
